CLASS III-IV 14 miles
(...)You guys are asking for problems! This stretch of Sunday creek is choked with logs and is NOT a run. Just read the AWA info on it! This site is a dis-service to paddlers every where and your gonna get someone hurt or pissed off when they drive 300 mile to get to some unnavigable stream. Says Nathan Johnson, Montana paddler
The scenic beauty of Flathead County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while
have people coming from far and near. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Sunday Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Headwaters
to Stillwater River section is the only one. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this area has a pretty small number of paddling rivers. If you hurry you can run this stretch in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so why not pack your camping stuff too. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Montana are easier than the national norm, so don't forget that quite a few of the sections here are pretty easy. This stretch of Sunday Creek is 14 miles long and
is according to American Whitewater a class III-IV section of whitewater.
