Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Montana is often easier than elsewhere, so keep in mind that many runs in this state are very easy. The nature scenery of Montana and the playfulness of the water have people coming here. Since
    you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you won't find a large number of other spots. This stretch is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so why not pack your sleeping bag too. You might have to settle
for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The Headwaters to Stillwater River section of Sunday Creek in Flathead County is 14 miles long and is a class III-IV section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here. The campgrounds here at Sunday Creek are pretty good. Sunday Creek doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Headwaters to Stillwater River stretch  
is the only one.

Briefly about the general area:
During the summertime at Sunday Creek temperatures are usually in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 40's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's with temperatures at Sunday Creek dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights. Around Sunday Creek you don’t get a lot of rain; during the month of June you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is February.
