Meagher
county,
South Fork Tenderfoot to Smith River section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS II 11 miles
I'm a land owner on the Tenderfoot and I wouldn't recomend trying to float it. It is a fun place to go tubing and have short floats but it isn't a good place for an extended trip. There are numerous log jams and gravel bars to navigate. On the other hand The Smith River is awesome. Says Lee Zehntner
If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more forgiving, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very demanding. The put-in is not too far from Great Falls, if you're not familiar
