The Boulder River to Clarks Fork Yellowstone River section of Yellowstone River in Montana is 76 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class I-III section of whitewater. The scenic beauty of Montana and the playfulness of the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. No matter if you're whitewater
rafting or kayaking this is an area with not too many other places for that. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Getting a good workout and just
hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. Yellowstone River doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Boulder River to Clarks Fork Yellowstone River stretch is the only one. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Now this is a pretty long section, perfect for a real wilderness adventure.
