The scenic beauty of Montana and the water flowing gracefully down Yellowstone River are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way in this general area you won't find many other paddling places. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come. The Boulder River to Clarks Fork Yellowstone     River stretch is the only paddling stretch along Yellowstone River. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. A stretch this long is of course too much for a one day trip, so it looks like you will be camping out. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Briefly about the general area: At Yellowstone River throughout the summer months highs are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Yellowstone River are in the 10's.
