The Snake Falls stretch of Snake River in Cherry County is 0.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class III section. The wonderful Cherry County scenery and the cool fresh water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This is the only paddling section along Snake River. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground.

about the general area: At Snake River all through the summertime highs are in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are commonly in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Snake River drop into the 0's. Snake
River is pretty dried up generally; June is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is January. Snake River Falls is always fun to check out.
