The average Nevada whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be easier to run than those in other states, so better not forget that rivers here are less demanding. There are some good stretches to paddle in this river system, the Black Canyon stretch is one of them. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature will make you glad you came. The wonderful Nevada scenery and the cool fresh water are in themselves     reasons enough to come here to paddle. There's camping available near Colorado River. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you won't find a large number of other places. A section like this is is of course not run in a single day, so better bring your camping gear along. Briefly about the general area: For the duration of the warmest time of the year at Colorado River temperatures are ordinarily in the 100's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 70's. For the period of the winter highs are commonly in the 50's, and night lows in the 30's for Colorado River. Around Colorado River you don’t get a lot of rainfall; August is the wettest month with most rain, and June on the other hand is the driest. Don't leave Colorado River without first paying a visit to Roaring Rapids,   and do schedule some time to explore Burro Wash if you have a chance. Roaring Rapids is an inspiring location to explore during your stay; Lake Mead National Recreation Area is a very great place to go to. A river like this is too good to miss.
