This stretch of Ammonoosuc River is 2.9 miles long and has been rated as a class II-III section by American Whitewater. The beautiful scenery of New Hampshire and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water attract people from near and far. If you're coming from Berlin it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, as you can see on the road map further down. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature will have you coming back for more. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, around here you'll
find a large number of good rivers. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so don't forget that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. The Twin Mountain to Pierce bridge section is one of many paddling sections in this
river system. There are many good hotels to choose from, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The river winds through the White Mountains and you get great scenery. This is a short paddling stretch so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground.

along the Gale River Trail. A common amount of rainfall falls here at Ammonoosuc River; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain while February is generally the driest month. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Ammonoosuc River. Summer nighttime lows
descend down to the 50's. Through the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Ammonoosuc River.
