The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are lots of good rivers for that around here. This is a pretty decent length section, suitable for an afternoon trip. A bit of exercise

the 50's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 20's with temperatures at Ammonoosuc River dipping down into the-10's through winter nights. Ammonoosuc River gets a normal amount of precipitation; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is February.
So much exciting stuff to do here in the White Mountains, too delightful to be true. While you're here at Ammonoosuc River you can take a hike along the Gale River Trail, and on a delightful day you can take a hike along the Garfield Trail.
