This stretch of Androscoggin River is 0.5 miles long and it is classified as a class II section by American Whitewater. The nature scenery of New Hampshire and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here worthwhile. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty     of places for that. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. The Errol Rapids section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. This stretch is very short so better bring some good walking shoes. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The beautiful White Mountains scenery is an added bonus. Briefly about the general area: The high level of precipitation makes Androscoggin River a reasonably wet site; August is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month of the year is February. During the summertime months, highs generally are in the   70's at Androscoggin River, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's with temperatures at Androscoggin River dipping down into the-10's during winter nights.
