The Errol Rapids section of Androscoggin River is 0.5 miles long and it is classified as a class II section by American Whitewater. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. This is a very short stretch so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. Whitewater paddling here in the White Mountains is a great experience. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature     have a lot of people coming here. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of places for that. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in New Hampshire are harder than the national norm, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that lots of rivers here are not for beginners.
