The Marlow to Gilsum Gorge stretch of Ashuelot River in New Hampshire is 5.3 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class III-IV section. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so you'd better keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less manageable. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. This is not the only paddling section in this river system, there are others too. There     aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The put-in location is a short drive from Keene, as you can see on the road map further down. On this section you do get some distance, it's perfect for a one day trip. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came.
