The Jenness Beach stretch of Atlantic Ocean in New Hampshire is 1 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class I(V) section. The natural beauty of New Hampshire and the cool fresh water beats anything. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are not so many other good spots for that around here. This is a very short section so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. Atlantic Ocean doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the
Jenness Beach stretch is the only one. There are nice comfortable hotels here, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in New Hampshire are harder than the national norm, so better not forget that many runs in this state are
not easy. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here.
Briefly about the general area: This river has it all. Do schedule some time to stop at Lockes Neck close to Atlantic Ocean if you have a chance, and one of the best things about this place is its proximity to Bass Beach. Beaches are brilliant; and Jenress Beach close to Atlantic Ocean is no exception, and Rye Ledge is a magnificent site to spend some time. Atlantic Ocean generally gets a good deal of rain; through November this
area sees the most rain while January is commonly the driest month. At Atlantic Ocean during the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 30's while Atlantic Ocean nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's.
