The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in New Hampshire are often more challenging than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. The beautiful scenery of New Hampshire and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water will make you feel great. The Warren stretch of Baker River is 3.8 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class V section of whitewater. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far
and near. This is a short paddling stretch so better bring some good walking shoes. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do
book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The river winds through the White Mountains and you get great scenery. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. This river system has a few good paddling sections and the Warren section is one of them.
Briefly about the general area: From a precipitation point of view Baker River is a rather common location; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is February. During the warm months, highs regularly are in the 80's at Baker
River while night lows are frequently in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Baker River are in the 0's. Good hiking is available along the Three Ponds Trail; hiking is a popular thing to do around Baker River; Hurricane Trail is a great local trail. Just can't get enough of the White Mountains.
