  The Warren section of Baker River in New Hampshire is 3.8 miles long and has been rated as a class V section by American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so don't forget that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good spots. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. The Warren stretch
    is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. This is a bit of a short stretch so no need to bring snacks. The beauty of the White Mountains is a great plus for this river. The scenic beauty of New
Hampshire and the playfulness of the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.

Briefly about the general area:
All year is a splendid time in the White Mountains if you fancy the outdoors. From a rain point of view Baker River is a pretty common place; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February.
 
All through the days of summer highs here at Baker River get into the 80's. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 50's. High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 20's; throughout the dark hours in the winter at Baker River temperatures descend to the 0's. Going for a hike on the Three Ponds Trail is always a splendid adventure, and there are splendid places to explore along the Hurricane Trail.
