  The natural beauty of Grafton County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water attract people from near and far. The average New Hampshire whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be harder to run than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or
    both, doesn't matter, this area has a large number of paddling rivers. The put-in location is a short drive from Lebanon, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This is a short
paddling stretch so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too. Whitewater paddling here in the White Mountains is a great experience. This stretch of Baker River - South Branch in New Hampshire is 3 miles long and it is classified as a class V section by American Whitewater. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near.
