This stretch of Bearcamp River in Carroll County is 3.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II-IV section. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. There are no other stretches to paddle along Bearcamp River than the Bennett Corner to Whittier stretch.
The beautiful scenery of Carroll County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream have people coming here. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. The
put-in is not too far from Laconia, as you can see on the road map further down. When you're paddling down a White Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. There's camping available near Bearcamp River. This is a pretty short section so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.

here at Bearcamp River, you can go for a hike along the Bickford Trail; no need to travel far to stop at attention-grabbing stuff like Lunt Ledge. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors cool stuff the White Mountains has to offer. Going for a hike along the Old Locke Road
Path will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. The high level of rain makes Bearcamp River a rather wet location; during November this area sees the most rain; January on the other hand is the driest. Through the warm months, highs commonly are in the 70's at Bearcamp
River with night lows in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are generally in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Bearcamp River.
