Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come. The
nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This is a short paddling stretch so no need to bring snacks. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this
is an area with plenty of rivers for that. The Route 127 to Snyder's Mill stretch of Blackwater River is 2.5 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II-IV section of whitewater.
