The Ellsworth to Branch Brook campground stretch of Branch Brook in Grafton County is 3.3 miles long and it is classified as a class II-V section by American Whitewater. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. This is a somewhat short section so no need to bring snacks. Branch Brook doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Ellsworth
to Branch Brook campground stretch is the only one. When you're paddling down a White Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors
will make you glad you came. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in New Hampshire is often tougher than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. The natural beauty of New Hampshire and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here worthwhile. Lodging is available near the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.
