The scenic beauty of New Hampshire and the cool fresh water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. This stretch of Cold River in Sullivan County is 5.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II section. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling spots. The     nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This is a pretty decent length section, you can easily run it on an afternoon. There are a few other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here.
