This stretch of Cold River in Sullivan County is 5.5 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II section of whitewater. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so keep in mind that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The scenic beauty of New Hampshire and the water flowing gracefully down Cold River attract people from near and
far. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, around here you'll find a large number of good places. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's perfect for a one
