The put-in is not too far from Lebanon, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in New Hampshire are often tougher than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many runs in this state are not easy. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. This is a somewhat short section so you'd better     be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The beautiful scenery of New Hampshire and the playfulness of the water beats anything. There are no other stretches to paddle along Croyden Brook than the Newport stretch. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling places. Briefly about the general area: Croyden Brook gets a typical amount of rain; throughout the month of August you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Throughout the summertime, highs ordinarily are   in the 80's at Croyden Brook while night lows are regularly in the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's; during the dark hours in the winter at Croyden Brook temperatures descend to the 0's.
