The average New Hampshire whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so don't forget that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. The Dry River Trail to Dry River Campground stretch of Dry River is 1.5 miles long and it is classified as a class V section by American Whitewater. If you're coming from Berlin it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. The wonderful Coos County scenery and the beautiful
way the water current moves down the stream attract people from near and far. When you're paddling down a White Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Getting some good exercise and just being
out on the river for a while will have you coming back for more. This is a bit of a short stretch so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are lots of good places for that around here. This is the only paddling section along Dry River.

in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. During the wintertime highs are mostly in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Dry River.
