The Elbow Pond to Pemigewasset River section of Glover Brook in New Hampshire is 1.9 miles long and is a class V section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The starting point is not too far from Laconia, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. No need to look hard for hotels, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good spots. If you're a camper you can
camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. The beautiful scenery of New Hampshire and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream beats anything. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great attractions for lots of people. Whitewater
rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving. There are no other stretches to paddle along Glover Brook than the Elbow Pond to Pemigewasset River stretch. This is a pretty short section so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. The wild scenery of the White Mountains is great.
