New Hampshire whitewater - Halls Brook, White Mountains, unknown County
Halls Brook Road to Highway 25 section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS V 2.6 miles
The nature scenery of New Hampshire and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that rivers here are less forgiving. The Halls Brook Road to Highway 25 stretch of Halls Brook is 2.6 miles long and it is classified as a class V section by American Whitewater. If you're coming from Concord it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, as you can see on the road map further down. There aren’t
any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This section is quite short so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. The Halls Brook Road
to Highway 25 section is the only paddling section along Halls Brook. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Whitewater paddling here in the White Mountains is a great experience. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, around here you'll find a large number of good spots. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come.
