The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. The scenic beauty of New Hampshire and the playfulness of the water will make you feel great. The Halls Brook Road to Highway 25 section of Halls Brook in -blank- County is 2.6 miles long and it is classified as a class V section by American Whitewater. This section is quite short so no need to bring snacks. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river,
but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The Halls Brook Road to Highway 25 section is the only paddling section along Halls Brook. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. And of course, there are campgrounds
nearby. The river winds through the White Mountains and you get great scenery. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good spots for that around here. If you're coming from Concord it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost.
Briefly about the general area: There is a tremendous hiking trail in close proximity to Halls Brook called the Rattlesnake Mountain Trail, and going for a hike on the Stevens Brook
Trail is always a great adventure. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things in the White Mountains. At Halls Brook through the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. The
wintertime comes with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Halls Brook are in the 0's. A typical amount of rain falls here at Halls Brook; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is February.
