The natural beauty of New Hampshire and the playfulness of the water make the trip here worthwhile. There are no other sections to paddle along Israel River than the Riverton to Lancaster section. This stretch has has enough mileage, it's good length for a morning trip. If you'll be staying in a hotel you're in luck, lodging is available very near the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these     hotels fill up quick. The beauty of the White Mountains is a great plus for this river. A good workout and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. The campgrounds here at Israel River are pretty good. This section of Israel River in New Hampshire is 4.7 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II section of whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in New Hampshire is often more difficult than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many runs in this state are not easy. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling spots. Briefly about the general area: Summertime highs at Israel River ordinarily tend to be in the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the   50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Israel River. Israel River is a good place of normal rainfall; most of the rain falls through August, and February on the other hand is the driest.
