The beautiful scenery of Merrimack County and the playfulness of the water beats anything. This is a somewhat short section so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature will have you coming back for more. Little Suncook doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Northwood     to Gossville section is the only one. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. This stretch of Little Suncook is 3.1 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class IV section of whitewater. The put-in is not too far from Laconia, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Briefly about the general area: Little Suncook is a good place of normal precipitation; through November this area sees the most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Little Suncook. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. During the winter this place   gets highs in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Little Suncook temperatures descend to the 0's. Steeles Falls is a lovely site to stop by while you're at Little Suncook, and the Campground Trail offers hiking at its best.
