  This section of Mascoma River in Grafton County is 0.33 miles long and it is classified as a class V section by American Whitewater. The nature scenery of New Hampshire and the playfulness of the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Lebanon, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. Lodging is available near the river, but
    you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This is an extremely short stretch so no need to bring snacks. There's camping available near Mascoma River. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking
in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. This river system has a few good paddling sections and the Lebanon section is one of them. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in New Hampshire are harder than the national norm, so better not forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy.

you're here why not take a look at Great Hollow. On a great day at Mascoma River you can take a hike along the Clark Pond Loop, and why not head up to Whaleback and strap some skis to your feet. This is a really good river. While you're here at Mascoma River you can take a hike along the Dartmouth Outing Club Trail, and a good spot like Quechee State Park is too delightful to leave out. The yearly precipitation here at Mascoma River is about average. The month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is February. For the period of the days of summer at Mascoma River temperatures are commonly in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's.
