The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Manchester-Nashua, as you can see on the road map further down. This stretch of Merrimack River is 5.3 miles long and is a class I-II+(III) section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. No need to look hard for hotels, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The average New Hampshire whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that rivers here are less forgiving.
There's camping available near Merrimack River. This stretch has has enough mileage, you can easily run it on an afternoon. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are lots of good places for that around here. A bit of exercise
and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more. This river system has a few good paddling sections and the Amoskeag Falls to Goffs Falls section is one of them.
