The starting location is a short drive from Berlin, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's perfect for a one day trip. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. This is the only paddling stretch along Mohawk     River. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good spots. The natural beauty of Coos County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here worthwhile.
