The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master in this state than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. The beautiful scenery of Grafton County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream beats anything. The Newfound lake to Bristol stretch of Newfound River River in New Hampshire is 1.5 miles long and has been rated     as a class II-III section by American Whitewater. The campgrounds here at Newfound River River are pretty good. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Newfound River River doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Newfound lake to Bristol stretch is the only one. The wild scenery of the White Mountains is great. This stretch is short so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are lots of good spots for that around here. Briefly about the general area: A visit to Pikes Point right next door to Newfound   River River is always a nice idea. For the duration of the summer at Newfound River River highs are typically in the 80's while night lows are typically in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows through the wintertime for Newfound River River tend to be in the 0's.
