The wonderful New Hampshire scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water have people coming here. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. The Chandler Brook to Peabody River section of Peabody River - West Branch in New Hampshire is 5.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class V section. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great
attractions for lots of people. On this section you do get some distance, good for a one day paddling trip. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. There are some good sections to paddle in this river system, the Chandler Brook to Peabody River section
is one of them. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. The starting location is a short drive from Berlin, as you can see on the road map further down. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The White Mountains scenery is wonderful.
