The scenic beauty of New Hampshire and the water flowing gracefully down Pemigewasset River beats anything. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. The campgrounds here at Pemigewasset River are pretty good. This section is quite short so no need to bring snacks. The beautiful White Mountains scenery is an added bonus. Lake through Franconia Notch section is just one of them. This section of Pemigewasset River in New Hampshire is 2.9 miles long and is a class V section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The starting point is not too far from Berlin, if you're not familiar with the
area there's a road map further down the page. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, there are lots of good rivers for that around here. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. There are nice comfortable hotels here, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.
Briefly about the general area: Pemigewasset River gets a typical amount of annual rainfall; during the month of August you get the most rain around here;
the driest of the months is February. The surroundings of this river have so much to offer. Going for a hike on the Whitehouse Trail is always a good adventure, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Cannon Mountain. Interesting geology is available

50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's with temperatures at Pemigewasset River dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. This location, the White Mountains, has so much outdoors fun things.
