Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in New Hampshire tend to be more challenging than the national average, so keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less manageable. The wonderful New Hampshire scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Pemigewasset River are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. The beautiful White Mountains scenery is an added bonus. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. The starting point is
not too far from Laconia, as you can see on the road map further down. There are some good hotels near the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The campgrounds here at Pemigewasset River are pretty good. Great exercise and spending some
quality time in nature will make you glad you came. There are so many stretches to paddle in this river system, the Woodstock stretch is just one of many. This section of Pemigewasset River in New Hampshire is 4.25 miles long and has been rated as a class II section by American Whitewater. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, good for a one day paddling trip.
