This stretch of Pemigewasset River in New Hampshire is 4.25 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II section. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in New Hampshire are often tougher than in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. The starting location is a short drive from Laconia, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. This is a pretty decent length section, it's perfect for a one day trip.
You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The White Mountains scenery is wonderful. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more. There are nice comfortable hotels here, and if you make reservations in advance
you're all set. The wonderful New Hampshire scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Pemigewasset River are reasons enough to come here and paddle. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling places. This river system is full of great paddling sections, the Woodstock section is just one of them.

of exciting stuff to do in the White Mountains. Russell Crag is an exciting place to go to while at Pemigewasset River; everyone nearby loves skiing at Loon Mountain. Pemigewasset River gets a normal amount of annual precipitation; the wettest month of the year is mostly August,
that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is February. This river has so much to offer. The Mount Cilley Trail offers hiking at its best. At Pemigewasset River through the summer highs are in the 70's while night lows are mostly in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Pemigewasset River are in the 0's.
