The beautiful scenery of New Hampshire and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water make the trip here worthwhile. If you're coming from Berlin it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, as you can see on the road map further down. When you're paddling down a White Mountains river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while
have people coming from far and near. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside New Hampshire you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so you'd better keep in mind that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. The Franconia Falls to Woodstock Highway
section of Pemigewasset River - East Branch in New Hampshire is 8.92 miles long and has been rated as a class IV section by American Whitewater. Lodging is available near the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. There are plenty of other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of spots for that. This section is long
enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, good for a one day paddling trip.
