The natural beauty of New Hampshire and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream have people coming here. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater     rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. There are plenty of other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, good for a one day paddling trip. The river winds through the White Mountains and you get great scenery. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature will make you glad you came. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in New Hampshire are often tougher than in other states, so better not forget that many runs in this state are not easy. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. The Franconia       Falls to Woodstock Highway section of Pemigewasset River - East Branch in Grafton County is 8.92 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class IV section. No shortage of good hotels, and if you   make reservations in advance you're all set. Briefly about the general area: Hiking along the Osseo Trail is good fun, and Loon Mountain has fine slopes and a friendly staff. So much fun stuff to do in the White Mountains, not enough time. Have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Wilderness Trail, and at Pemigewasset River - East Branch you always meet someone from Lincoln.
