This section of Pemigewasset River - North Fork in New Hampshire is 12.4 miles long and it is classified as a class IV-V section by American Whitewater. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Berlin, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The beauty of the White Mountains is a great plus for this river. This river system is full of great paddling stretches, the Lincoln stretch
is just one of them. This section is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so go ahead and pack your camp stove. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other
states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came. The wonderful Grafton County scenery and the playfulness of the water will make you feel great. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good spots.
