Whitewater rafting and kayaking in New Hampshire is often more difficult than elsewhere, so keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. The Milan section of Phillips Brook in Coos County is -blank- miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class III section. The natural beauty of New Hampshire and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water have people coming here. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Briefly about the general area: Phillips Brook is a good spot of typical rain; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Phillips Brook. All through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are regularly in the 20's while Phillips Brook night low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 0's.
