The natural beauty of New Hampshire and the playfulness of the water make the trip here worthwhile. This stretch is mid length, suitable for an afternoon trip. The White Mountains scenery is wonderful. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in New Hampshire is often tougher than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. If you'll be staying in a hotel you're in luck, lodging is available very near the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. A bit of exercise
and just being out on the river for a while are great attractions for lots of people. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good rivers for that around here. The Jericho Road and Route 302 stretch is the only paddling stretch along Rocky Branch. The Jericho

Rocky Branch is a wet place that gets a good deal of rain; November is the month that gets the most snow while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. And that's not all the things to do here in the White Mountains. What would winter be without
some skiing at Attitash Bear Peak, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Rocky Branch; Humphreys Ledge Trail is a good local trail. Good hiking is available along the Mount Stanton Trail, and if you're addicted to cool geologic traits try Whites Ledge. Summertime at Rocky
