The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so better not forget that the rivers in this state are less manageable. This is a pretty decent length section, it's good length for a morning trip. This section of Rocky Branch in New Hampshire is 4.2 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class IV-V section. There are nice comfortable hotels here, but you'd better reserve in advance     because these hotels fill up quick. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. The beauty of the White Mountains is a great plus for this river. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. This is the only paddling stretch along Rocky Branch. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 10's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Rocky Branch temperatures drop to the-10's. The Mount Stanton Trail is a splendid hiking   trail in close proximity to Rocky Branch, and you need to pop by Whites Ledge while you're here. Near Rocky Branch you discover the Humphreys Ledge Trail which is a great hiking trail; Attitash Bear Peak is a magnificent local ski area. A large amount of rain falls at Rocky Branch; November is when you get the most snow here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This river is a great place to visit.
