The Route 104 to Bristol stretch of Smith River is 1.75 miles long and has been rated as a class IV section by American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. The scenic beauty of New Hampshire and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream beats anything. The wild scenery of the White Mountains is great.
