The Close to Concord New Hampshire section of Soucook River in New Hampshire is 3.5 miles long and is a class I-II section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in New Hampshire is often tougher than elsewhere, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are less forgiving. The wild scenery of the White Mountains is great. Soucook River doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Close to Concord New Hampshire section is the only one. There's camping available near Soucook River. Great exercise
and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. No need to look hard for hotels, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area
has a large number of paddling places. The wonderful New Hampshire scenery and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. This is a somewhat short section so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch.
Briefly about the general area: All through the summer highs here at Soucook River get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Soucook River dipping down into the 0's all through winter
nights. Soucook River is a good place of common precipitation; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month of the year is February. So many amusing things in the White Mountains, just fantastic. Going for a hike along the Liberty Spring Trail
