The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so don't forget that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. This stretch of Soucook River in New Hampshire is 3.5 miles long and is a class I-II section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. This is a pretty short section so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. There are nice comfortable hotels here, but you'd better
reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The river winds through the White Mountains and you get great scenery. There are no other stretches to paddle along Soucook River than the Close to Concord New Hampshire stretch. There are campgrounds quite near the river where
you can camp. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good spots. The nature scenery of New Hampshire and the playfulness of the water will make you feel great.
Briefly about the general area: If the weather is great here at Soucook River, you can go for a hike along the Osseo Trail, and Loon Mountain has great slopes and a friendly staff. Now, you may believe that's loads but there's even more fun things to do here in the White Mountains. On a fine
day at Soucook River you can take a hike along the Liberty Spring Trail. From a precipitation point of view Soucook River is a relatively common site; August is when you get the most rain here, and February is the month with the least moisture. All through the long summer days
at Soucook River temperatures are mostly in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Soucook River dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights.
