The Close to Concord New Hampshire section of Soucook River is 3.5 miles long and it is classified as a class I-II section by American Whitewater. The river winds through the White Mountains and you get great scenery. The beautiful scenery of Merrimack County and the cool fresh water make the trip here worthwhile. The Close to Concord New Hampshire section is the only paddling section along Soucook River. This section is quite short so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. There's camping available near Soucook River. A
bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature have people coming from far and near. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking
in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside New Hampshire you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so if you're not from around here don't forget that the rivers in this state are less manageable.
