Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so keep in mind that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. There are some good sections to paddle in this river system, the Pittsfield to North Chichester section is one of them. The nature scenery     of Merrimack County and the water flowing gracefully down Suncook River are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. The put-in is not too far from Laconia, as you can see on the road map further down. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. There's camping available near Suncook River. This is a pretty decent length section, good for a one day paddling trip. Briefly about the general area: Going for a hike on the Onemile Trail is always a glorious adventure.
