Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in New Hampshire tend to be more challenging than the national average, so keep in mind that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. The put-in location is a short drive from Laconia, as you can see on the road map further down. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. This stretch has has enough mileage, you can easily run it on an afternoon. Getting     some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are lots of good rivers for that around here. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.
