CLASS II-III     10 miles
The put-in location is a short drive from Berlin, there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. The beautiful scenery of New Hampshire and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so don't forget that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. The beautiful White Mountains
scenery is an added bonus. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so why not pack your camping stuff too.
And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too. There arenít any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you donít have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good spots.
