If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. The Upper stretch of Winnipesaukee River in New Hampshire is 2.1 miles long and has been rated as a class I-II section by American Whitewater. This is a bit of a short stretch so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. A good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more.
There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. There are plenty of hotels here if you want to spend a night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The nature scenery of Belknap County and the water flowing gracefully
down Winnipesaukee River beats anything. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of spots for that. The beauty of the White Mountains is a great plus for this river. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby.
