The Colesville to Route 651 section of Clove Brook in New Jersey is 1.5 miles long and has been rated as a class IV-V section by American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often easier than elsewhere, so don't forget that lots of rivers here are good for beginners. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. The Colesville to Route 651 section is the only paddling section along Clove Brook. This is a bit of a short     stretch so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of rivers for that.
