This stretch of Delaware River in Hunterdon / Bucks County is 0.25 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class II+ section of whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in New Jersey is often easier than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many of the rivers here are not very demanding. The natural beauty of Hunterdon / Bucks County and the cool fresh water will make you feel great. The Lambertville Wing Dam section is the only paddling section along Delaware River. Briefly about the general area: For the period of the long summer days highs here at Delaware River get into the 80's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 30's; overnight lows at Delaware River all through the wintertime ordinarily descend into the 10's. Delaware River gets much water; the wettest month of the year is commonly May, that's the one that rains the most, and February is when it's the driest.
