The beautiful scenery of New Jersey and the water flowing gracefully down Lamington River will make you feel great. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in New Jersey is often easier than elsewhere, so better not forget that many of the sections here are safe for beginners. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this area has a large number
of paddling spots. There are nice comfortable hotels here, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The campgrounds here at Lamington River are pretty good. The Rt 512 at Pottersville to confluence with North Branch of Raritan section of Lamington River is 12 miles
long and is a class I-II section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so go ahead and pack your sleeping bag. If you're coming from Trenton-Ewing it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, as you can see on the road map further down. Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature will make you glad you came.
