This section of Lockatong Creek in New Jersey is 13 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class III-IV section. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master in this state than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that a lot of the rivers here are suitable for beginners. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The starting point
is not too far from Trenton-Ewing, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. There's camping available near Lockatong Creek. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of
good places. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors are great reasons to come. The beautiful scenery of New Jersey and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream make the trip here worthwhile. There are no other sections to paddle along Lockatong Creek than the Right upstream of Idell to Raven Rock Road section.

winter highs are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Lockatong Creek. A great deal of rainfall falls at Lockatong Creek; July is when you get the most rain here, and February on the other hand is the driest.
