This section of Pequannock River is 16 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II-IV section. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. The nature scenery of New Jersey and the water flowing gracefully down Pequannock River will make you feel great. This is the only paddling stretch along Pequannock River. The sections for whitewater rafting
and kayaking here in New Jersey are often more forgiving than in other states, so keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are pretty easy. If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so why not pack your sleeping bag too. No matter if you're whitewater rafting
