This stretch of Raritan River - North Branch in New Jersey is 8.6 miles long and it is classified as a class I-II section by American Whitewater. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in New Jersey are often easier than in other states, so keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are pretty easy. This is one of a small number of paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more. No matter if you're whitewater
rafting or kayaking there are lots of good places for that around here. The nature scenery of New Jersey and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream will make you feel great. The starting location is a short drive from Trenton-Ewing, as you can see on the road
map further down. There are nice comfortable hotels here, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby.
