This section of Rio de los Pinos in New Mexico is 12 miles long and is a class II-III section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. This section is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so go ahead and pack your camping stuff. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in New Mexico are often easier than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that a lot of the rivers     here are suitable for beginners.
