The to Taos Junction Bridge stretch of Rio Pueblo de Taos in New Mexico is 3.5 miles long and has been rated as a class V+ section by American Whitewater. The beautiful scenery of New Mexico and the cool fresh water make the trip here worthwhile. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so keep in mind that many of the sections here are safe for beginners. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature will have you coming back for more. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll
have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. If you're a camper you can camp at one of
the great campgrounds nearby. This section is quite short so better bring some good walking shoes. The put-in is not too far from Taos, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. The to Taos Junction Bridge stretch is the only paddling stretch along Rio Pueblo de Taos.
