This section of Ausable River - West Branch is 2 miles long and is a class V section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The High Falls Gorge to Flume section is one of many paddling sections in this river system. There aren’t any
    hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This is a bit of a short stretch so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. For all you
camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad you came. The natural beauty of New York and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream make the trip here worthwhile. Whitewater paddling here in the Adirondack Mountains is a great experience.
