Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. This is a pretty decent length section, it's good length for a morning trip. This river system has a few     good paddling sections and the Greenwich to Hudson River section is one of them. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. The nature scenery of New York and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water will make you feel great. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so don't forget that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy.
