The Route 212 bridge below Willow to Kaaterskill section of Beaver Kill River in Ulster County is 4.5 miles long and has been rated as a class III-V section by American Whitewater. The natural beauty of New York and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream will make you feel great. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so don't forget that many runs in this state are not easy. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. This
section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, you can easily run it on an afternoon. There are nice comfortable hotels here, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This is the only paddling stretch along Beaver Kill River. Some people prefer whitewater
rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good spots. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. The river winds through the Catskill Mountains and you get great scenery. The put-in is not too far from Kingston, as you can see on the road map further down.
