New York whitewater, Beer Kill River - West Branch Ulster county, Old Greenfield Road Loop to end O. section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.   CLASS II-IV     2.5 miles   If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside New York you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so you'd better keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. The nature scenery of Ulster County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream beats anything. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. This stretch is short so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. The     nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Getting your paddling muscles activated and spending some quality time in nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. Beer Kill River - West Branch doesn't have a lot of paddling stretches, the Old Greenfield Road Loop to end O. stretch is the only one.
